I Have a Newcomer Multilingual Learner! What Do I Do?
Many of us are welcoming newly arrived multilingual learners to our schools and classrooms. Join Valentina Gonzalez for an engaging and comprehensive session on supporting and celebrating newcomer multilingual learners in K-12 classrooms. Valentina will guide us through a set of effective practices--before the first day, on their first day, and beyond—to ensure a welcoming and supportive learning environment. We will go step-by-step to boost your confidence as an educator and equip you with the skills and strategies you need to help your newcomer multilingual learners thrive.
